Shakespeare at Motel 8

Tonight my father and I arrived in Ashland, Oregon a little past 9:00 PM. I am glad to be here at the Motel 8 after a twelve hour drive. We had to make the journey in one days time because I had to stay in Los Angeles for closing night of Shakespeare Festival / L.A.’s production of Two Gentlemen of Verona. There is some sorrow in my yet, but I am glad to put my internship and the role of Ursula behind me. Although I will miss the cast and the crew very much, it is time to let the characters of Two Gents depart. I have freed Ursula from my body and look forward to seeing OSF’s Two Gents here in Ashland. I am hoping to discover new insights in the world of the play. Tomorrow will bring many new adventures at "Wake Up With Shakespeare". I look forward to seeing old faces and perhaps some new ones as well. I shall fall asleep to my father watching the news and the wind blowing the branches against our window pain. Until I wake in the morning, I will dream of great speeches, passion, love and humanity; for that is what awaits me coming into the great theatres of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
