Together at Last!
Last night the entire cast of Murder on the Nile were
together at last! We have been slowly piecing together the show in
segments and out of order for the last 3 weeks. It feels a lot like
working on a film. It feels good to finally have everyone in the same
room at the same time.

Murder on the Nile Casting!
I
have been waiting for the perfect project to take me back to the Long
Beach Playhouse and it has finally arrived. I
have booked the role of Jacqueline de Severac in Murder on the Nile
by Agatha Christie! I am thrilled to return to one of my favorite
playhouses in So Cal in this dynamic role. If you know the plot, no
spoilers please! I don't want to give away the mystery!

We have put in many hours, working with the local community and a super
hero band of volunteers to make this show come alive on the Whittier
Center Theatre Stage. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us
this weekend! We appreciate each and every one of you!

"Spies Like Me" / DISCOVERIES: The Art of Being Someone Else Casting!
I was invited back to perform for the Orange County Playwrights Alliance!
On November 15th @ 2:30pm, we will present 3 new one-act plays written
by local playwrights. Stage Door Repertory will be hosting the event. I
have been asked to read the part of a European spy in the new comedy Spies Like Me
by John Lane. Director Philip Brickey will be taking the reins again
for this fantastical comedy. I can't wait to step into the world of
international espionage.

The Lion in Winter Casting!
I will be returning to the stage this fall in The Lion in Winter at Whittier Center Theatre. Alais is a role that I have been wanting to play for some time. Best of all, the director of my most recent project, The Women,
will be playing Geoffrey. I am so excited to team up with Brandon
Ferruccio again. We are the best partners in crime, and while our
characters may not directly interact, I know we will continue to learn a
lot from each other. Rehearsals begin on Monday. I can hardly wait!

Shopping for The Women
Yesterday I took a trip to Hollywood with my director and cast mate to shop for clothing for my character, Mary Haines, in The Women.
Finding a costume piece that suggests 1930s has been a challenge. We
stopped off at Bettie Page Clothing in Hollywood, but as the store name
suggests, we were met by a plethora of 1950s style clothing but very
little that fit the scope of the play. Luckily a quick stop at American Vintage was just the thing we needed. I was able to pick out 4 dresses
that I can accessorize accordingly. I am excited to begin wearing Mary's
clothing and physically become the character. To see our costume
choices, you will have to come to the show. Check out my Events page for details.

The Women Casting!
10 years ago I joined the cast of FUHS’s production of Clare Boothe Luce's The Women as Peggy. Today I am ready to return to the play a little older and a little wiser. Thanks to my wonderful director Brandon Ferruccio, I am cast in Westminster Playhouse’s
production of THE WOMEN as Mary. It's time to reinvent myself as Mrs.
Stephen Haines! I am excited to work with Brandon for the first time and
to meet the rest of the cast tomorrow night at our first read-through.
